PROGRAM DESCRIPTION 
Auto/Automotive Body Repairer is a 1020-hour program designed for those who are interested in obtaining employment in the field of auto body repair/refinishing.  The program is available full-time to ADULT STUDENTS as (2) three-hour blocks or part-time as (1) three-hour block with your choice of morning or afternoon classes.  Part-Time students must commit to two years to be a completer. Approximately one-third of the instructional time devoted to theory and the remainder allotted to laboratory experiences including demonstrations and theory applications.  Students are responsible for the repair of approximately ten vehicles annually utilizing the latest tools and equipment including those designed for repair of the unibody type cars.

COURSES OFFERED 
Auto/Automotive Body Repairer 1 & 2
In this 2-year program you will receive hands-on training that will develop skill sets to help jump start your collision repair career. The program will include the following:  
​⁃ Safe & Proper use of tools of the trade
⁃ Damage Analysis & Utilizing estimating software
⁃ Researching and comprehending vehicle makers repair procedures
⁃ Body panel repair utilizing hybrid PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) & Glue Pull techniques
⁃ Bolt on panel replacement
⁃ Weld-on panel replacement with squeeze type resistance spot welders, mig welders and weld bond procedures
⁃ Surface preparation & masking
⁃ Paint mixing & color matching with solvent and water based paints
⁃ Refinishing new and repaired panels
⁃ Sanding & Polishing to remove paint defects and matching factory finishes

In addition, the program will also provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on custom projects such as race cars, hot rods, motorcycles and more. Tasks involved with these projects will include:
⁃ Fiberglass & Carbon Fiber panel fitment and repair
⁃ Sheet metal panel fitment and repair
⁃ Rust repair & patch panel fabrication and installation
⁃ Airbrushing & Graphics
⁃ Refinish application with pearls, candies, metal flake and more
⁃ Sanding & polishing to create a mirror like finish
